Ordinances

Dog Ordinance

The City of Belview requires all dogs be licensed. The license fee is $10 per dog and are available at the City Clerk’s Office and require proof of current rabies vaccination. You may request a copy of the city’s dog ordinance that discusses such things as excessive barking and dogs running at large, etc.

Snow Removal

The City of Belview requests that when at all possible, vehicles must be moved off of public streets, immediately following a significant snow fall that would require streets to be plowed. You are also asked to keep sidewalks free of snow and ice.

Lawn Mowing

Lawns are to be kept mowed and trimmed. It is asked that you refrain from mowing grass clippings out into the street.

Building Permits

The City of Belview requires that you apply for a building permit, which must be approved prior to construction or prior to moving a building onto your property. Permits are also required for the installation of decks or fences. You are required to attend the next available council meeting to present your application for a building permit. Cost of permits are $25. Once permits are approved, the work must be done within 6 months.
